The rotary club of Hobart was formed in
March 1979 and it’s a small group of businessmen and women who meet and greet
to share tremendous food, facts and companionship whilst act as a team in
service to local, nationwide and worldwide communities. The club appreciates
the support of both Houses of Parliament which made it possible for the Club to
lift and deal out almost $500,000 over the many years. Rotary club has been on
the forefront of funding the supply and installation of an outdoor Gym which is
at the starting of the Hobart Bike Track on the Regatta Ground.
If you want
to gain the rotary club membership,
then please contact the club secretary for a membership pack. The club would
like it if you attend one meeting as a guest so as to become accustomed of what
all happens in the club and what not. Aspiring members need to fill a
membership application form and the annual membership fee is of 220$. Once you become a member, you will have to
dedicate 2.5 hour stint on the Saturday Parliament House car park for Salamanca
Market which is their major fundraiser. They also offer committee positions for
passionate volunteers.
Rotary club Tasmania has been serving the community since 1979. It
is a club of like minded people who offer humanitarian service and help build benevolence and tranquility to our
local community. The club has been actively taking part in social and
charitable services whether it’s about donating money or it’s about raising
fund for the education of a teenager.
